Born in Switzerland and based in France, Alberto Giacometti (1901 - 1966) was one of the most important European sculptors of the 20th century. Some 50 years after the artist's death the Alberto Giacometti - Collection Fondation Marguerite et Aime Maeght exhibition was held in The National Art Center, Tokyo. The exhibition presented a full picture of Giacometti through approximately 130 sculptures, oil paintings, sketches and prints.
